Conclusion
The TE group continued to show strength this week, with 13 players exceeding 10 PPR points, with Travis Kelce and Cade Otton having a great points duel on Monday Night Football, with both players scoring over 20 points. In recent weeks, some of the more dependable TEs struggled, though, with Mark Andrews and Cole Kmet having game-losing level performances. The injury to DK Metcalf opened the door for Jaxon Smith Njigba, and he took advantage of a career game. A total of 10 WRs exceeded 20 PPR points on the week, and the newest Chief, D’Andre Hopkins, looked young again on Monday Night Football.
The Dolphins WR tandem of Tyreek Hill and Jayden Waddle continued to underperform again this week. In the preseason, three of the top five RBs this week were written off by Fantasy Football Twitter as being too old to be top-level RBs. Another great week by De’Von Achane and Chase Brown has shown they are the undisputed top RB on their team, although the Bengals have added Khalil Herbert at the trade deadline. Jonathon Taylor, Tyronne Tracy, and Tank Bigsby all threw in unexpected, awful games, costing their Fake Football Managers their matchups this week. Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow remain the most consistent high-point producers in Fake Football at the QB position over the last five weeks.
Fantasy Football Twitter told me last week that Patrick Mahomes was droppable in exchange for Jameis Winston for the rest of the season. Mahomes responded with his best game of the year, and Winston had an awful game. The weather helped cause bad weeks for both Jared Goff and Jordan Love this week. Good luck in week 10.
