Shopping Week 6 Waviers
Let’s Go Shopping- Waiver Wire After Week 6
The injuries keep piling up, and six teams are on bye this week, which makes this an even tougher week for your waiver wire picks. So many of the reliable RBs in fantasy football will be gone for week seven due to injuries or bye weeks, plus the QB situation is rather precarious right now, too. Check that secondary waiver wire market after you see who gets dropped. Sometimes, stashing that player on his bye week can be advantageous for the rest of the season. Let’s go shopping!
Starter Worthy Weeks of Note
QB Jared Goff QB3 with 22.4 points. A great start against a tough defense indicates that this offense and QB are getting as good on the road (41% Available)
QB Sam Howell QB5 with 18.3 points. It was a lean week for QBs, but Howell’s running ability gives him a safer floor than many if you need a streamer this week. (80% Available)
QB Derek Carr QB9 with 16.3 points. It only took 16 points to make the top 10 this week. Carr has been inconsistent so far this year with excellent-skill players around him. (85% Available)
QB Desmond Ridder QB10 with 16.1 points. There have been some ugly weeks, but he is holding on to the starting position I would not recommend in most formats. (94% Available)
====
RB Kareem Hunt RB12 with 16.1 points. He got a nice share of the volume with the starter Jerome Ford and got the TD this week, which landed him in the Top 12. (73% Available)
RB Chuba Hubbard RB13 with 16 points. Even if Sanders didn’t get hurt, Chuba would be the lead back with the Panthers going forward. (54% Available)
RB Salvon Ahmed RB19 with 12.4 points. Someone had to take over as the other RB with Achane out and MIA wanting to keep Mostert fresh. But Wilson returns soon. (89% Available)
====
WR Kendrick Bourne WR10 with 19.3 points. The Patriots’ passing attack has been up and down due to erratic QB play, but Bourne is the best in a weak WR room. (79% Available)
WR Rashid Shaheed WR12 with 18.3 points. This speedster is getting some deep looks, and with all the emphasis on Olave and Thomas, he could continue to be a nice threat. (86% Available)
WR Tyler Boyd WR17 with 16.8 points. He is the most reliable WR3 in the league, and with Higgins still not 100%, he should be rostered in more leagues. (50% Available)
WR Brandin Cooks WR20 with 15 points. This veteran WR was supposed to be more of a factor in this offense but finally showed up with a nice point total. (46% Available)
WR Curtis Samuel WR24 with 14.2 points. Starting to take over as the WR2 on the Commanders might offer some nice flex play value during the bye weeks. (71% Available)
====
TE Johnu Smith TE4 with 13.6 points. Continues to get some looks in this Falcons offense, and their TEs finished 3rd and 4th in points this week. (85% Available)
TE Michael Mayer TE5 with 12.5 points. Throw a hockey mask on this guy and let him go all Halloween on your lineup during bye weeks. (98% Available)
TE Taysom Hill TE6 with 12.3 points. These were points earned the old-fashioned way by a TE with 7 receptions, not only on some wildcat snaps. (95% Available)
TE Brenton Strange TE11 with 10.7 points. There were only two receptions, but he found the endzone. I wouldn’t expect much value unless something happens to Engram. (99% Available)
TE Trey McBride TE12 with 10.2 points. He's playing behind veteran Zach Ertz but saw a surge in his snap count this week. (99% Available)
Injury Concerns
Buffalo: Josh Allen was shaken up and will be day to day this week but should be okay. Damien Harris suffered a neck injury, is in concussion protocol, and will be out for a while.
Chicago: Justin Fields avoided a broken bone but will be sidelined for a few weeks. Hope to get Roschon Johnson back from concussion protocol this week.
Detroit: David Montgomery will miss a few weeks, but we hope to get Gibbs back.
Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence hurt his knee and might be unable to make the quick turn for Thursday Night Football this week.
Las Vegas: Back issues for Jimmy G will need to be watched closely all week.
Los Angeles Rams: Lost RBs Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers and might not get them back this week.
Miami: Chris Brooks left the game and might miss some time, keeping the Dolphins thin at RB.
San Francisco: Lost both Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel, and both could miss some time.
Tennessee: Ryan Tannehill left the game early but has the bye week to rest up.

Wrapping It Up
Too many players do not check back on the players available in their leagues after waivers clear on Tuesday Night or Wednesday. This time of the year, as we head through the Bye weeks, managers will try to float a guy through waivers if they have a tight roster due to injuries and byes. You won’t get Chase, but you could get Boyd. Always check to see who is dropped for their waiver moves because that player could be better than your worst bench player. Good luck with waivers this week.
