BEST of 2024 So Far (After Week 10)
Fantasy Football experts strive to forecast the top performers at each position every season. As followers of The Science of Fantasy Football know, year-end points can be misleading, and points per game can deceive. In Best Ball Fantasy Football, the frequency with which a player appears on our score sheet is crucial. This is the objective of the BEST Index. Now, after week ten, let's examine the top performers according to the BEST Index.
BEST Index Explained
Fantasy Football is a weekly game that needs weekly statistical tools. The MVP Index grades players on the three things that can happen every week: whether a player helped you win, caused you to lose, or kept you in the matchup that week. It uses historical median production to determine values that need to be exceeded to count. Since we don’t care about the lousy Best Ball Fantasy Football scores, the BEST index uses two of the three parts of the MVP Index to show BEST Ball effectiveness for each player.

Conclusion
Players who have had their BYE week already have a slight disadvantage against the others at their position in the BEST Index. Lamar Jackson took over the top spot, and Baker Mayfield had his worst game of the season. Only 5 QBs have a BEST Index equal to the number of weeks played this season. Twelve RBs have a BEST Index of 10 or better. If your Fantasy Football team has 2 or 3 of these RBs, you are most likely at the top of your standings. Old timers Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, and Joe Mixon are among this group, along with Chuba Hubbard, who was drafted at RB43 this year. Justin Jefferson had an off week but still shares the top spot with Ja’Marr Chase, who had one of the ten best weeks for a wide receiver over the past 15 seasons. Only six WRs have a BEST index of 10 or more, which shows how important it is to roster an elite WR this season. George Kittle continues to lead the way at TE. He has as many 14 points or more games this season than all but the top 5 WRs. Travis Kelce had his third game in a row with over 20 points to move up into the Top 3 at TE after a slow start. Good luck in week eleven!
